How do I install a replacement turn knob socket (phenolic)?
Is this a socket for a lamp with a turn knob or is it something else?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

it is for a lamp

Does this have 2 terminal screws on the side of the socket, 1 being silver and 1 being brass?
What kind of wire is the lamp cord going to the socket?

Yes it has the brass and silver screws. The wire is copper.
Thank you. The hot wire connects to the brass screw and the neutral connects to the silver. If you have a brown cord and the plug has a wide plug side and a narrow side the side of the brown cord with ribs is the neutral side, connecting to the silver screw. The smooth side goes to the brass screw.
