There could be a few things going on here. Can you tell me how this well pump is setup? Is there a disconnect and a pressure switch? When does it trip the breaker - when the unit turns on or all the time regardless of whether the unit is running or not?

Everything was fine until 1 hour ago. Never had an issue until then. I tried resetting the breaker 5 times and each time it popped within 4-5 seconds. Don't know about a pressure switch or disconnect.

Ok - it sounds like the pump could be bad - but you need to disconnect the wiring to the pump from the pump disconnect located next to the well before being able to confirm that.
