Could another short in the club be causing the battery

Customer Question

Could another short in the club be causing the battery charger to flip off? We bought new batteries (still had the problem) then had the charger checked and tested with other batteries (no problem with the charger) - what would be the next step?

Club Car, 36 or 48 volts? Does it have the OBC for charger? With voltmeter what is the voltage at the charger recpetical on the cart, where charger has to attach? Charger has to see the battery voltage, if not it will not start the charge. Your wiring from the receptical to the battery pack may not be complete.

Ok 36 volt
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 4 months ago.

Check the carts plug, and it has to be at least 28 volts or the chargers internal relay will not close and start the charge cycle.

Oops should have said 48

OK, it still has to have close to 36 volts to start the charger! What does the plug measure for voltage? ?

I see question is still open, did you find problem?
