I have a gas cart will a low battery not let the clutch engage to make the cart go

Customer: will a low battery not let a gas cart not engage the clutch
JA: How old is the battery? And have you tested it with a voltmeter?
Customer: old and no
JA: What is the model/year of your electric?
Customer: it is a gas cart
JA: What year is your electric?

Customer: the motor starts but it will not get enough rpm to get the cart moving
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes and I have tried new plug and fresh gas

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I will be assisting you today. To answer your question, no a low battery will have absolutely no affect on the clutch operation. Something else is wrong like fuel , ignition, or the CVT mechanism. Your battery may indeed need to be replaced, because you said that it is old, but it will not fix the clutch problem.
