Gas or electric??? Gas I assume. If you jump the two cable connections at the solenoid , does the engine spin? If it does, you need a new solenoid.

oK, Do you have a voltmeter to test with? Just because solenoids click, don't mean they make the connection. Solenoid may be bad!

I see a new question from you. Please reply to this question. Remove one cable from the solenoid that you are testing, and see if it has continuity when you click the solenoid.
