I have a 2006 TXT that will not function properly in

Customer Question

I have a 2006 TXT that will not function properly in reverse. I changed the controller and the problem still exists. It runs perfect in forward but in reverse I must barely touch the pedal to make it move. Should I depress the pedal fully, it will stop completely. Any ideas? Thanks
JA: What is the model of your '06 electric?
Customer: EZGO TXT if thats the one with the switch on the dash
JA: How long has this been an issue? How many miles are on the car?
Customer: It's been an issue for a number of months. Miles? No idea
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes, I would like to fix it myself. I just changed the controller and the problem still exists. That's all I have tried thus far
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: No, all other systems seem fine.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Electric Vehicle Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

F/R switch is on the dash? Swap wires on the F/R switch, if still no reverse, the drive motor is bad. Typically it would have been the controller. But it has been changed with no change in symptoms.
