Do you have a voltmeter to check voltage to the brake on the back of the drive motor? The brake has to have a full 48 volts or the brake will drag! Common problem on the RXV!

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
There is not a complete motor brake on the cart it burned up took disc out ran fine has now started rapid jerking in forward and reverse will barely pulls checked batteries

Could the solenoid be dropping in and out? And there is no way brake can be dragging?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Could it be speed controller or would be best to start with solenoid
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 8 months ago.

i would start with solenoid. Does the cart roll free? Nothing dragging?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Rolls free doesn't appear to be dragging we pushed it back into she'd at course
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 8 months ago.

Try solenoid, it should have same solenoid for the brake. You could swap it out.

Thanks.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Solenoid didn't help the fault buzzer doesn't go off should it sound off since no motor brake
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 8 months ago.

So you still have the same jerking and won't drive? Have you got the new brake? Has drive motor been tested?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Brake hasn't made it yet motor hasn't been tested how do you test
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 8 months ago.

Here is site with trouble shooting, scroll down the opening page past all the manual to find the troubleshooting section with the motor test.

Ok will try that we live in rural Oklahoma not any cart repair shops within a couple hours drive
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 8 months ago.

OK< try to make the ground test, to be sure it does not have terminals grounded to the frame of the motor.
