What is battery condition and voltage? Do you have a voltmeter to test battery voltage on each battery?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

Most power problems on Ezgo's are battery or cable issues.Does the charger come on and run a full 8 hours before shutting off? How old are the batteries?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I have not been able to get a voltage reading on any of rhe batteries. While they are certainly not brand new, wirh visual inspection they they dont look bad at all.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

A digital voltmeter is less than $10 at retail or auto supply. Visual inspection on a battery tells you nothing. Does charger run full cycle?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
the charger takes about 6 to 8 hours.

Voltage test?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

You have to check each battery for at least 6.3 volts , fully charged. If less than 6 volts, battery is bad. One battery or one bad cabe and cart will not have any power to climb hills.

I will get a voltage tester today and check them out. I noticed the meter on the dash is registering differently since the last charge. It has a line that goes up and down in a range. It is flickering now at the bottom. Is that a concern?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

Yes, concern is that batteries are not fully charged

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I tested all 8 batteries and they all are at 6.19 volts or above (6.25 the highest).
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

None seem to be fully charged. Put charger on cart and then check the batteries again tomorrow. Then test run cart and see if it slows, then check the batteries again!

Batteries do have plenty of fluid in them, and all plates are covered? Do not overfill, you just want fluid covering the plates, then fill only after charging, as the fluid will rise when charging.
