Customer Question

Our Cemetery has a gas powered 1998 Club Car Carryall1, serial # ***** with a 287cc Kawasaki #SKA287U1G2RA. Starting off the first part of the morning it runs fine, but when it has it has heated up it loses spark to the plug. The motor turns over, but won't run. After it sits for 20 minutes or so it runs again, until it warms up again. Please advise.

Ignition coil is failing, replace the coil next to the flywheel.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Could the ignitor also be part of my problem?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

It is the part that gets hot, next to the flywheel.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Wouldn't the ignitor also get hot as it attaches to the front of the motor under the voltage regulator?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

It can be, either item can be affected by heat.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
How should I proceed? I would like to fix the problem the first time.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Sorry, I would replace the cheaper of the two! And hope that fixes it.
