Customer Question

random speaking from left rear wheel. if you push the brake slightly it will stop for awhile and then return randomly. 2005 model, club car precedent

something loose in the brake most likely. and may be broken spring for brake return. All you can do is remove the brake drum and check the brakes. Not that uncommon!

Is there anything else in the rear axle that could be a problem
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
Axle bearing, but not near as likely as something loose in the brake drum!

How do you get to axle bearing and check it
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
You remove the brake drum to get to the axle shaft!
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Does the axle have to be pulled to change the bearing? How is the axle held in place?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.
The axle is held in place with bearing retainer, remove the retainer over the bearing, and the axle will slide out, so the bearing can be changed.
