EZGO Marathon: I have just got a 1990 ezgo cart - fully

Customer Question

I have just got a 1990 ezgo cart - fully charged it moves with a real burst and then only goes for a very short time then just dies . What should I look at? Cart spins wheels when accelerator pressed - real power burst. Goes a little ways and then slows to a halt. No clicking, cleaned all battery connections.

I would suspect the batteries. Most likely one has failed and will only hold a "surface charge". So as soon as you drain that small charge from it the voltage drops out, the resistance goes up and the cart stops. You need to have each battery load tested individually and I bet you will find one, possibly two failed.
