Hi, My Kindle which I have had for about 3 years, is not -turning on, I have charged it , would I need to get a new battery, and if so where do I get one. Marlene L.
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: It is an Amazon Kindle, thats all it saays. About 3 years old
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: It worked fine on Sunday lunch time, that night it stopped. No trouble befor that. The only thing I have tried to do is charge the battery.
JA: Anything else you want the eReader expert to know before I connect you?

This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.

Remove the charger from the Kindle and hold the power button to off for 35 seconds.

Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Kindle.
