I bought my kindle on 10 Dec 2015 from Incredjble Connection, Woodmead, South Africa. Now it won't switch on and is not taking a charge. Increible Connection says I must contact you. My address is Arnot, P.O.Box3714, Rivonia, 2128, South Africa
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: There is no model no shown on the device. IT is eleven months old
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Happened yesterday. don't think there is facility for trouble shooting. The device is either off or on when you lift the lid
JA: Anything else you want the eReader expert to know before I connect you?

This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.

Remove the charger from the Kindle and hold the power button to off for 35 seconds.

Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Kindle.
