Hi, I am unable to download books. "Application Error" comes up
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: 4th generation - about 4 year sold old
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Its very recent (about 3 weeks). I thought it might be a software issue so checked that I had downloaded the recent update. I see it on my device but the progress bar shows that it has downloaded but nit actually 'run'.
JA: Anything else you want the eReader expert to know before I connect you?

First, let's start with hard reset:

Press and hold the power button on your Kindle for a minimum of 30 seconds.

This will force the device to do a hard reset.

It may take a while and you may see the Kindle logo for several minutes but give it time and let me know if that sorts it out.
