My Kindle has this message "If you want to read or shop on you Kindle while continuing to charge over USB,, please keep the USB cable attached, but eject your Kindle from your computer"
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: where do i find that
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: This just happened, I was charging it, the light was green when I opened it this was the message. I can't do anything with it

I'm sorry about the issue. Please try this: Press and hold (or slide and hold) the Power on / off button / switch on your Kindle for about 45 seconds, then turn it back on and check.

If needed, make sure to remove the USB cable or the charging cord from the kindle, then hold the power on / off button / switch for about 45 seconds again, then turn it back on and check.
