my kindle fire seems to be locked or "frozen' I cannot log onto the internet or any of my home page sites. HELP
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: iT is about 3 years old and it was a gift It is a kindle fire and purchases through amazon .....the back of it reads Fcce0700
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: THIS STARTED HAPPENING 3 DAYS AGO. I TRIED TURNING IT OFF AND THEN A FEW HOURS LATER TURNING IT BACK ON WITH NO SUCCESS ALSO TRIED MOVING THE ARROW DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS A FRIEND CHECKED IT AND SAID MAYBE A NEW BATTERY IS NEEDED.

This is usually caused by a glitch in the firmware and can be resolved by a forced reboot, then your kindle will work normally again. Slide or press and hold the power switch for 40 seconds, then release.
