Hi there Ria and welcome
Can you tell me please which model you have?
ok thanks thats what I needed to know
This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.
Remove the charger from the Kindle and hold the power button to off for 35 seconds.
Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Kindle.
Let me know the results please
It is the LCD screen that has faulted, this now confirms it
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to replace the Kindle. Due to its age a repair will not be economically feasible as the costs would outweigh the value of a replacement
I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.
And if you can take a second to rate my service by clicking one of the stars at the top of the page, then submit, that would be greatly appreciated.
