My new book purchase appears on my kobo glo but says pending and won't open!!!
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: it's a kobo Glo a few years old. I think I got it when they first came out
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I just bought the book tonight. Don't know what to do but the software did update!
JA: Anything else you want the eReader expert to know before I connect you?

I will be glad to assist you with this.

Try this please> press and hold the power button down for 20 seconds, then power back on. Then go to your Home screen. Tap the Sync tile.

  • If you are within range of a known network, your eReader automatically joins that network and will begin syncing.
  • If you are not within range of a known network, your eReader will begin the Adding a Network process.

After you sync your Kobo eReader, your book will be added to your Kobo eReader’s Home screen and your Library. To start reading, just tap on the book cover.
