I was in contact with the help desk today, I changed my web address, my credit card reached its expiration date, I tried to change the date but had forgotten my pass word. had no joy, so opened a new account, then lost my content, have managed to open old account need help transferring books from old account to new one
JA: How long has this been going on?
Customer: lost old link about three months ago
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: have been in contact with help desk, they talked me through to old account then said someone would be in contact but am still waiting

Thats correct, as it is all linked to your Amazon account, not the actual Kindle itself.

You cannot transfer books between accounts, but what is stopping you from signing into your original correct account?

Ok, you need to actually register the Kindle with the old account again.

  1. From Home, tap the Menu icon, and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap Registration.
  3. In the Deregister Your Kindle dialog box, tap Deregister.


  1. From Home, tap the Menu icon.
  2. Tap Settings, and then tap Registration.
  3. Select an existing Amazon account and then register it with the correct one.

Once done, when you go to the list of the books, you select Cloud and you will then see them
