My Kindle last evening told me I should recharge. In the process of carrying it to the recharge place, it signaled locked. Thinking that had to do with the requested recharge, I plugged it in. This AM it still is locked. I am 81 years old and not at all good with tech problems. Please help. I read constantly and NEED my Kindle. Molly

Please unplug the Kindle if it is charging.

Once unplugged, please press in and hold the power button/on switch for 40 seconds to reset it. If this does not fix it the first time, please try it 3 additional times.
