If that does not work, we will troubleshoot further.

If is working?
If not, please plug it in for 15 minutes. Once 15 minutes passes, please leave it connected to the charger, then press in and hold the power button/on switch for 40 seconds. Once you reset it please charge an additional 15 minutes and check to see if it is working.

How long have you had it?
If this troubleshooting process is bout working, then I am sorry to say this, but your Kindle has to be replaced.
If it is less then a year old, you can get it replaced under warranty.
