I have Windows 10 and I believe this is the 3rd kindle I have a kindle fire

My Kindle is having the issue the error box says you are having trouble processing ordering a bookand the you are working on it

Was your credit card changed recently, i.e., if the expiration date was updated?

Can you press and hold the power on / off button on the kindle for about 30 seconds, then turn it back on and check?

I updated the credit card but it doesn't show the security code #

It does not need the security code number. Please sign in your Amazon account at the Amazon website below:

, then there, just delete all the credit card(s) it shows there

, then select the option "Add credit/debit card", and continue to re-add your card

, then at the above website, click on option "Manage 1-Click settings", and edit / select your credit card and continue
