I have a Kindle Model #D00901. The screen says" Critical Battery". Will the battery still charge or do I need a new battery?

Hi,

The battery should still charge fine.

Please plug in your Kindle for 5 minutes then hold down the power button for 45seconds while it is plugged in until the Kindle reboots. It can take 2-3minutes for the complete reboot process. Allow up to 30 minutes for a charge.
