Hello

Welcome

Please reset the kindle by holding down the on/off switch for 40 seconds (use a watch to time) ignore any messages the kindle may display, then release your finger the kindle should reboot and re-load the operating system, you may have to do this both on and off the charger and upto 4 times before it resets.

Let me know if you need more help

A positive rating is appreciated thank you

Regards

Anthony

I'm sorry, but this did not work.

Did you see the kindle reboot?it would have flickered and reload the operating system?you did hold the button for full 40 seconds?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
There was no flicker, just a message "Optimizing system storage and applications". It went to screen, but still frozen. It is not unlocking. When it did it went to main screen and froze.

Hi

Please contact amazon by going to this link <<click

Use the CONTACT button on the left side of the page

Seemingly the software that controls the kindle has gone bad, amazon may replace if its under warranty or offer you another kindle

Note all your books are archived at amazon so do not worry about that

Let me know if I can do anything else here
