Thanks for the information, so you have a basic Kindle with 3-way controller, you will first need to de-register the Kindle from the existing account, then connect to your wifi and re-register it to your account/

From your Kindle device:

  1. From Home, press the Menu button, and then select Settings.
  2. Select Deregister.

Then can get your Kindle setup:

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu button.
  2. Select Settings, and then select Wi-Fi Networks.
  3. In the list of detected networks, select a network to connect to it.
  • If you already have an Amazon account: Select this option. Enter your Amazon account information. Select Register. Your name will appear as the Registered User when registration is complete.
