Hello

Welcome

Please reset the kindle by holding down the on/off switch for 40 seconds (use a watch to time) ignore any messages the kindle may display, then release your finger the kindle should reboot and re-load the operating system, you may have to do this both on and off the charger and upto 4 times before it resets.

Let me know if you need more help

A positive rating is appreciated thank you there will be a rating band of stars with this post thanks again

Regards

Anthony

Is the on/off switch the button that slides to the right?
Expert:  info tech replied 1 year ago.

You probably have a older kindle but yes slide it to the right and hold it there

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
one of the older kindles. Will slide and hold
Expert:  info tech replied 1 year ago.

Let me know the switch needs to be slid over and held for at least 30 seconds before you release it

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Did it 4 times without the charger plugged in and then 4 times with the charger plugged in. Nothing.
