Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today.
My livelihood depends on your positive feedback, so your satisfaction is my highest priority.
Sorry to hear you're having trouble.
Are you positive you are on the proper step (wifi, and not kindle registration)? Are you sure you're choosing the right network name, and that you are using the proper password?
If you don't know your amazon password ***** are unsure of the wifi password, I can help you find/reset it.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yes the network is Fios-HDS38 the pass word is also correct
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I already have an Amazon account
Expert:  Nathan replied 1 year ago.
Okay, if you are absolutely sure that you are using the correct network and entering the password ***** that leaves the possibility of a faulty in the kindle (rare) or more likely a configuration problem or glitch with your router. Note that the router password ***** is a combination of numbers and letters, and is case sensitive. Did you configure the router yourself, and do you know if you've set any security restrictions such as mac filtering?
Expert:  Nathan replied 1 year ago.
Also are you just using the password ***** on the router, because that is not necessarily valid, it is just the factory default, which may have been changed.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no did not configure the router nor am i using that pass word
Expert:  Nathan replied 1 year ago.
Okay it is unlikely those security settings I mentioned would apply then. We can initially try to reboot the router by unplugging power to it for 60+ seconds. If that does not help, you'll next need to take some further steps (which I'll guide you through) to verify the correct network password.
