My Kindle app for my iPad has frozen. I get a message that

My Kindle app for my iPad has frozen. I get a message that says "Please remove the book(or in this case books) from your device and redownload it from your archived item." (what is this?) if the problem persists deregister your app and register it again." am leaving town in a day and need my Kindle books. Can you help me through this?

Hi,

Please press and hold both the Power button and the Home button together on the iPad for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears, then wait a bit, then check.

If that does not work:

  1. Tap the Kindle icon on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.
  2. Tap the Settings icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Tap "Update" under the Registration field and then tap the Deregister button.
  4. Then re-register.
  5. Then log in your amazon account at the website http://www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle and then click on the Action tab of each book you want, then deliver to your iPad device.

If that still does not work, uninstall the kindle app (go to home screen, then press & hold the kindle app icon until you see an X on the upper left corner of the kindle app, then tab on X to delete it
, then go to the App Store on the iPad and search for Kindle to download and reinstall the Kindle app, and re-register
, then log in your amazon account at the website http://www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle and then click on the Action tab of each book you want, then deliver to your iPad device.

Thanks for your answer. I used the info again yesterday when my kindle book was no longer available to read. It worked perfectly
