My kindle will not turn on. When I hold the power button the green light comes on for about 5 seconds and then turns off.
Already Tried: Making sure it has charged overnight.
Hello and thank you for using JustAnswer.Your firmware may be glitched. Try resetting your Kindle by sliding and holding the power switch for 20 seconds. If you have the newest model, it has a push button. Press it and hold it for 20 seconds. Your Kindle operating system should reload within three minutes. If this does not occur or the Kindle still malfunctions, please let me know.
Okay, when I held the button down for 20 seconds the words Kindle Fire which were on the screen disappeared. But now when I hold the button down nothing happens.
Now plug it into the charger for 15 minutes. After that, and while still plugged in, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Make sure you do not disconnect power throughout the process. Let me know if it still does not work correctly.
Okay, I followed your directions and no luck.
