My Kindle wont connect to my home wifi. In settings when

My Kindle won't connect to my home wifi. In settings when I try to view wifi setting, I can't view. Also, when I go to menu-settings in order to try to restart, I cannot access the menu.

Hi,

Was it connecting previously? Or is this a new kindle?

What's the error message when connecting to your wireless/wi-fi?

Do you know your exact wireless password/security key, if any, (it is case-sensitive)?

What is the brand and model of your wireless router?

Do you have a wireless computer/laptop that is currently connected via wireless? If so, does it have windows xp, vista, or 7?

Please let me know. Thank you.

error Message: Kindle unable to connect at this time Make sure you are in range and if it persists restart Kindle.

Wireless password XXXXX XXXXX numbers

All other devices are connected via wireless.

So the kindle was able to connect to your home wifi/wireless router previously.

Please disconnect the power cord from the wireless router for a few minutes, then reconnect.

If you have a leather (or any other) cover on the kindle, please remove it.

Please press/slide & hold the power switch on the kindle for about one minute, or until the screen flickers. Then wait a few minutes for the kindle to turn back on, and see if you can connect.

If it does not work, please let me know the brand and model of your wireless router. Thank you.

There are 2 kindles in the house and one is working fine and this one is not. do you think that sounds like a router issue?

Did you try my previous suggestions yet?

No, but sometimes adjust a setting on the router may work. Otherwise, the kindle is defective. Thank you.
