Hi,

What is the brand and model of your wireless router?

Do you have a wireless computer/laptop that is currently connected via wireless? If so, does it have windows xp, vista, or 7?

Do you know your exact wireless password/security key (it is case-sensitive)?

Please let me know. Thank you.Viet - E-reader Tech41047.9895753472

Please go to the website http://192.168.1.1/ and login with the username blank (don't type anything) and the password XX admin
(if you cannot login, enter admin for the user name also).
Then click on the Wireless -> Wireless Security option to get the wireless password / security key.

If that does not work, i.e., it does not show you the password/key, from the windows 7 that is currently connected via wireless,
Click on the network/wireless icon at the bottom right of the screen, then click on Open Network and Sharing Center.
Then click on Manage wireless networks on the left.
Then select your wireless network name.
Then right-click on your wireless network name and click on Properties.
Then click on the Security tab.
Then select the box at Show characters.
Then you will see the Network security key above it, that is your wireless password.

If that still does not work, i.e., it does not show you the password/key, from the windows 7 that is currently connected via wireless,
Please right-click on the antivirus/security/firewall program, located at the bottom right of the screen and disable it temporarily if possible,
Then please download
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wirelesskeyview.zip
; if it does not work, try http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wirelesskeyview-x64.zip
Then open it and run the WirelessKeyView.exe file, and select your wireless Network name.
Then to the right, there is key(hex) or key(ascii). This is your wireless password.

Please let me know if you are able to get the password/key. Thank you.

So you were able to get the wireless password/key per my suggestion, but the kindle fire does not connect.

If you have a leather (or any other) cover on the kindle, please remove it.

Please press & hold the power switch on the kindle for one minute, then turn it back on.

Please go to the website http://192.168.1.1/ and login with the username blank (don't type anything) and the password XX admin
(if you cannot login, enter admin for the user name also).
Then click on the Wireless option and set the Wireless network mode to G only or N only, then save
Then click on the Wireless -> Wireless Security option and make sure the security mode is set to WPA2.../WPA...

Then go to quick settings->Wi-Fi option on the kindle, and reconnect to your wireless network name and check.

Thank you.

Don't worry; we guarantee our service. I will continue to work with you. I will get this working for you.

What exactly happens when you click on the website http://192.168.1.1/? What's the error message?

Can you click on Start, (then Run only if available), and type cmd and press Enter. Then type ipconfig and press Enter, then tell me the Default gateway?

Thank you.
