I am still waiting for a response. We have owned the E-Reader since December and have never had any problems downloading books until now. Today, when we wanted to go into our account and purchase two books, a notice came up saying that updates were ready for our Kobo E-Reader Desktop. There was no way of getting around the update, so we clicked on install - it appeared to be preparing to install, however, when we tried to complete the task, a message came up saying it couldn't complete the task and we had to "abort" which kicked us out of the system (this happened on several attempts). We can't seem to by-pass or get around this task. We went into the Kobo site and purchased a couple of books, however, when it came time to sync the books, it won't let us - still wants us to install the updates, but won't complete the task...any suggestions on who to call to fix the problem??
