Hello, I am Engineer John C., I will be your expert today.

Unfortunately Kindle and Kobo are not friends. They compete with each other, so there is no way to download the Kindle app into your Kobo, unfortunately.

If you want to use the Kindle app then you will need to buy a Kindle device like this one for $79 -----> http://goo.gl/AiZoH <===== CLICK HERE

Or the Kindle Fire for $199 -----> http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051VVOB2/ref=famstripe_kf <===== CLICK HERE

Or the Apple Ipad for $499.

If you would like any additional information or have more questions please don't hesitate to ask!

I disagree it is possible to have the Amazon Kindle App on a Kobo.

Please see on youtube the reviews of the Kobo and they clearly show the app on the

download screen

Your further thoughts please.

OK, my bad. As this was listed on the "e-reader" category I thought you were talking about the regular Kobo reader.

I apologize. Please follow the steps below from the Kobo VOX:

1- Tap the Home button on your Kobo Vox

2- Tap "All Apps"

3- Tap the "Get Apps" icon

4- Tap the white search bar near the top of the screen and enter the name of an app. (Here enter the word kindle)

5- Then when you see the Kindle app listed, tap it

6- Tap Download. The download will begin automatically

7- Open Notifications by swiping downwards from the top of the screen

8- Wait till the app has downloaded before completing the next step

9- Tap the app. The app installation options display.

10- Tap Install

So sorry John but you have descirbed the standard way to download apps

on the Kobo Vox. This was the first thing I tried.

Unfortunately the Amazon Kindle app does not appear as it is not in the Kobo store-

thats the problem.

Is it time to throw the towel in ?

Regards

Len

Expert:  Engineer John C. replied 4 years ago.
It should be there, are you searching for Kindle or for Amazon Kindle?

Please type Kindle only and let me know what do you see there.

Also, if you open any website from the Kobo VOX, like cnn.com or fox.com, do they open?

Expert:  Engineer John C. replied 4 years ago.

Please follow the steps below:

Download the Soc.io Mall application from your VOX.

Then open the Soc.io Mall application and download Kindle from it.

Does it work now?

Thank you Len, please keep me posted tomorrow.

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hi John,

I have now registered with Soc.io Mall and unfortunatley the Amazon Kindle app is not

available from their store either.

I wiil accept your answer on your next response so payment can be made for your efforts.

Any final ideas ?

Many thanks and regards,

Len

Probably Kobo is asking the other markets to remove Kindle from the available downloads.

I will try to find a market that is able to do so.
