Hi,

ITTechQ&A :

Thanks for contacting JustAnswer.com I am Cris.

ITTechQ&A :

A kindle fire does not require internet access in order to use. You are able to transfer books and files via USB cable.

However having internet access gives you more access to download directly to the fire. Also with internet access on the kindle you can use more features.

Can the Kindle Fire games be played and books be read in a home that does not have internet service?

Customer:

Will the Kindle Fire be useable in an area that has wifi?

Yes the kindle can be connected any where there's wifi.
