Please help me I take a lot of b2 and someone said it would cause THC to show up
Expert:  Michael Salama replied 1 year ago.

Hello, it sounds like you have had a false positive for THC. Many different supplements can cause false positives. Have you used marijuana at all?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No I haven't and it's got me very worried
Expert:  Michael Salama replied 1 year ago.

Are you taking anything else besides B2?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I take several different vitamins as well as a number of medications for my thyroid and blood pressure
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The person that called from the lab said none of those would cause that but something has and I really need to know what it could be
Expert:  Michael Salama replied 1 year ago.

Would it be possible to list them because there are many medications and supplements which can cause false positives.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hydrochlorothiazide, levothyroxine, lisinopril, gabapentin, atorvastatin, citalopram, atenolol, tramadol, trazodone, lyrica, bupropion, ibuprofen, I am looking for the others
Expert:  Michael Salama replied 1 year ago.

Out of the ones you listed, bupropion and ibuprofen can definitely cause false positives of marijuana in the urine.

Expert:  Michael Salama replied 1 year ago.

please don't forget to leave positive feedback, thanks!

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Will those also bring a false positive on a saliva test?
Expert:  Michael Salama replied 1 year ago.

For a saliva drug test, ibuprofen can definitely cause a false positive.
