This is Dr. David
there are many medications which can cause false positives for methamphetamines.
I included an article which talks about this.
antihistamines and over the counter cold medications which contain Brompheniramine and Phenlpropanolamine and nasal inhaler decongestants can cause false meth positive urine tests
antidepressants such as Bupropion and Trazodone have been shown to be able to cause false positives
antipsychotic medications such as Chlorpromazine and Promethazine for nausea can cause false meth positive tests
Ranitidine for stomach acid can cause false positives.
with any urine positive result, they have to be confirmed by MS/GC confirmatory tests.
if she is taking ranitidine, her MS/GC confirmatory test will be negative for methamphetamines
