How long does opana stay in urine

The usual period of detection of Opana in the urine is 2-5 days. However, the opiate in the Opana (oxymorphone) is a semi-synthetic opiate, so is frequently missed by a standard opiate urine drug test. If looking for Opana, an assay for oxycodone (a metabolite of the oxymorphone) or a specific confirmatory test, such as GC/MS should be done.

Based on the information that you provided, testing on hair would be more appropriate, since the detection period for opana is only about 3 days. Home drug tests would NOT identify this drug, and the time required to get a GC/MS confirmed test through a lab such as LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics (which would require a physician order) is 3-4 days.

If this is a custody issue, your attorney could ask the judge to issue an order for hair testing or other random drug testing based on evidence more solid than her suspicion.
