I am so sorry to hear about your chronic illness. Pain and illness can be very difficult on it's own. When it becomes chronic, it can take such a toll on our minds and bodies.

When I read your dream "some kind of power trying to embrace me, and pick me up and take me away" suggested to me a need of relief or release from a present situation. This power also seemed foreign or frightening to you, which seems close to that of an abduction. To dream of being abducted, represents a lack of control in our life. This could be a result of the illness and pain you constantly suffer, and the inability to personally control it. This is also supported by you being unable to call out to your husband. You try to yell, but the words won't come out.

The beige cover signifies that you may feel you are receiving the bare essentials needed to get through your daily life, but it is lacking the color you so desire.

Perhaps you may need to find new ways, that your illness will permit, to enhance the quality of your daily life.
