I have always been a wildly influenced dreamer but this just set aa new bar. I dreamt that I was single, and there was another guy (I am a guy btw) who was interesting in using some form of magic, he has feelings for me but I wasn't gay so I didn't take to it, but then we get talking and something happens. For some reason we have a baby a year later, a little girl, she is not born of normal means, but of magic. She can talk to me. This guy then went with another girl and I looked after my child who was slowly changing her form to a baby dragon. Every time the guy would try to speak to me I would walk away from him and ignore him. Funny thing is in the real world I have a girlfriend who I am quite happy with and no children, it was rather disturbing, at the same time I feel completly heart broken about it all and it was nothing more than 9 hours. I think that even though all this has happened it could be a fear of loosing my own girlfriend after we have a child, which is something I want in the next few years. There were more things to this dream but I dunno I cant remember some of them. I just would like to know what it means, why so many random things happening. I also remember his mothers boyfriend or husband being angry or drunk and trying to kill us, but police caught him in time before anything happened. I remember he was sent to prison after his court case. Dont remember much more though.

The man could be interpreted as the logical side of our self. Masculine energy is seen as logical, action oriented, non emotional. So this is the part of you that is engaged in the idea of having a child. It is magical, the conception process, birth, life , parenting, very magical. But for your dream maybe it also symbolizes the mysterious and magical birth of this idea of having a child and what that might mean for you. The dragon is an old rich symbol of the psyche. In fairy tales the dragon represents our own greedy nature, our desire to hoard our wealth and protect our selves from the outside world, it protects the soul but in the process it isolates the soul. The soul can be seen as the treasure the dragon protects. We all must slay our own dragon to allow our soul to lives it's full potential. This may have to do with your feelings about having your own child one day. Ignoring the man at the end of your dream may be about moving out of the logical aspect of having a child and your conscious personality moving into a feeling realm since that is when you had emotions in the actual dream. The end with the fuzzy images of the drunk and jail seems to speak of something being arrested, as in an authority with in you has arrested the continued development of some idea or attitude that is not fully functioning. To summarize my overall interp. is that this has to do with moving from just thinking about having a child and how your relationship will change, into more of a feeling function around the whole notion.
