Customer Question

We have a poodle mix we found on the road eight years ago. We don't know his exact age. Suddenly he won't move at all except for food. When it's time to eat he walks normally across the floor. When he went to our local vet he walked around the office checking out the smells. As soon as the vet took him outside he froze like a statue. We try taking him for walks and he freezes after a few steps. He is also holding his urine for nearly 24 hours at a time. Xrays of legs and spine looked fine. Appetite is good, he barks, plays with toys, but refuses to move. Been to two vets and still no answers. We need help.

I see this question is from a couple of days ago. This is definitely perplexing behavior. Does it improve at all on pain medication? Does he appear weak when he is walking?

I'm also wondering about perhaps an anxiety/fear issue all of a sudden? Has he had bloodwork done?
