Her precision PSL is elevated but shows no signs of diarrhea, loss of appetite.
JA: What sort of animal are we talking about?
Customer: Dog sorry
JA: OK. I'll do all I can to help. What is wrong with the dog?
Customer: Did some bloodwork on Saturday and just got the results today. She has Addison's and is atypical. Some of the results are: total protein: 7.6 (5.0-7.4), globulin: 3.7 (1.6-3.6), ALK PHOS: 187 (5-131), precision PSL: 1397 (24-140) platelet count: 527 (170-400), MCV: 53 (58-79, MCH: 18.1 (19-28)
JA: Where does the dog seem to hurt?
Customer: Those are some of the results. She doesn't have loss of appetite, or diarrhea, no vomiting...
JA: Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the dog eat anything unusual?
Customer: No, nothing. I was giving her Honest Kitchen food which had 25% protein and 15% fat in it, along with cbd Treatibles that had 6.5% protein and 10.5% fat, and then blueberries and watermelons for treats
. I was also giving her coconut oil a tsp a day to treat a hotspot.
JA: OK. The Veterinarian will know what to do. What is the dog's name and age?
Customer: Lily and she is 12 I have stopped the cbd Treatibles and Coconut oil. And switched her food to a 18% protein and 7% fat. I'm not sure what else I should do?
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Treatibles?
Customer: I was giving her the treatibles bc she was having shaking episodes. But we found that as we lowered her Prednisone dose the shaking stopped. It wasn't a seizure and nothing is wrong with her heart. She takes 0.15mg of prednisolone daily for Addison's
