Hello. My name is***** am happy to help you with your question. Give me just a moment to respond and type.
The chapstick with lysine may cause some gastrointestinal upset.
So you may see some lack of appetite, vomiting, or diarrhea.
But there should not be any toxic concerns.
And you actually may not see any signs at all.
If he develops an upset stomach then hold his food until he has not had any vomiting or diarrhea for 8 hours. Then offer small bites of plain cooked chicken and rice.
You can give 1/4 of a 10mg Pepcid AC tablet every 12 hours as needed too. That is an over the counter human stomach acid reducer.
How does that sound? Do you have any other questions?
You are welcome. My dog eats all my chapsticks too : )
