hi! my ten year old fox terrier seems to have pale gums he is eating but its scary he is over weight and constantly hungry

Those symptoms are scary. Pale gums indicate profound anemia or a lack of perfusion of those tissue due to general illness or advanced cardiopulmonary disorders. "Constantly hungry" (polyphagic) suggests diabetes mellitus, Cushing's disease, hyperthyroidism (not likely as this results in weight loss), and less commonly, maldigestion and malabsorption disorders. Whatever the cause, those symptoms are worrisome enough that Harley's vet will want to perform a thorough physical exam including diagnostics in the form of blood and urine tests on Harley. These are been performed on a 4 hour (minimum) fast but never restrict water.
