my dog was spayed fri & they gave her trazodone to help be more calm. And she seems more aggressive toward one of our other dogs? could it be this drugs making her feel uneasy?

Customer: she's acting more aggressive now than before, she was spayed fri

Yes, the potential adverse effects from trazadone include sedation, lethargy, ataxia ("drunken sailor"), cardiac disturbances, increased anxiety, and aggression. We need to consider that you're also seeing a pain-induced aggression particularly if she's not being administered an analgesic - a nonsteroidal antinflammatory drug (NSAID) such as carprofen or meloxicam or a narcotic analgesic such as tramadol. Please advise what her current treatment regimen is comprised of.

We only had the med for one more day & we still have antibiotics for a few more days. The answer helped very much, we thought it might be making her uneasy
