70

70 lbs = ~33 kg. He would have needed to ingest over 5 ounces of onions to intoxicate himself.

Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 23 days ago.

He didn't and so will remain safe.

Customer: replied 23 days ago.
He is acting strange for him. He is just laying one place, then within minutes he moves to another. This happened yesterday and he did eat normal today. He isn't making any noise.
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 23 days ago.

He didn't and so will remain safe. It takes 5 grams of onions/kg of body weight to intoxicate a dog with onions. 165 grams is a bit over 5 ounces.

Thanks

Eating anything unusual can cause GI distress.

Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 23 days ago.

He may be crampy but not poisoned. Onions cause an anemia in 2-3 days post-ingestion.
