I just gave my cavboodle a very small amount of chocolate

Customer Question

I just gave my cavboodle a very small amount of chocolate (by accident) I'm now worried??
JA: What sort of animal are we talking about?
Customer: A puppy - a caboodle !!
JA: OK. I'll do all I can to help. What is the matter with the puppy?
Customer: Cavoodle
JA: Where does the puppy seem to hurt?
Customer: He seems fine... but I only realise it's very dangerous after looking up on internet now I'm worried
JA: Can you see anything that looks wrong or different?
Customer: No he's chewing my daughters shoe which is normal. It was only a very small amount & he licked my fingers
JA: The veterinarian will know if the puppy will be able to digest that. Is there anything else important you think the veterinarian should know about the puppy?
Customer: He is only just over seven months - I really didn't realise choc was so dangerous. My daughter pointed it out & I looked it up..!!

I am sorry for the delay in response, it appears no experts were available.

1- Can you give me an idea of how much chocolate he ate?

2- How much does he weigh?

3- Type of chocolate (dark, milk, etc.)?

Customer: replied 24 days ago.
I gave him less then a quarter of a teaspoon. I'm not sure what he weighs. He seems fine & normal. He is a good size, seven month old Cavoodle.

Do you think he should be fine? If so I'll just keep an eye on him tomorrow?

1- How long has it been since he ate it?

2- Can you give me an idea of how much he weighs to calculate a toxic dose?
