I have a 4 year old Husky/Shepherd Mix. He escaped his crate

Customer Question

I have a 4 year old Husky/Shepherd Mix. He escaped his crate today while I was at work and got into some mail and bags of random things (I recently moved). He was acting fine but threw up his dinner and water immediately. Now he has been panting pretty excessively for about an hour - laying on his side on the cold tile. He is a pretty heavy panter but not usually for this long. Otherwise he is responsive and friendly and follows me when I get up, although he seems a little uncomfortable walking around. I'm worried because I have no idea what he may have gotten into. I didn't find any remnants of anything particularly worrisome.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. This sounds like it might be serious. I'll let the Veterinarian know what's going on ASAP. Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about the dog?
Customer: No I don't think so
