Hello my name is***** but you can call me Dr. H, and I am a licensed veterinarian. I am sorry to hear that your pet lab has an injured back foot that is swollen and apparently he is having difficulty walking on it. Swelling of any part of the limb should give cause for concern that a possible fracture or serious ligament injury is present.

Do you have a photo to send of the foot?

Did this happen today? And will he let you touch the foot at all?
