I'm sorry to hear of this with Abrams. Glaucoma, severe uveitis (inflammation of the iris and its attachements), and severe keratitis (inflammation of the cornea) should be considered in acute or progressive vision loss concurrent with red eye(s). A complete ophthlamic examination including a Schirmer tear test, fluoroscein stain application, and intraocular pressure measurement is essential in these patients. Has this been performed on Abrams? If so, what was found, please?
