Ozzie is an 11 ur old chihuahua and according to my husband

Customer Question

Ozzie is an 11 ur old chihuahua and according to my husband has been pooping and vomiting off and on since late afternoon. He's also walking very gingerly, with his tail between his legs. My husband retraced his steps and cannot recall anything else Ozzie may have eaten besides his own food, except possibly too much of it. IM getting his info late as I just got in. I'm exhausted. What can I do to at least make Ozzie comfortable tonight?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. This sounds like it might be serious. I'll let the Veterinarian know what's going on ASAP. Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about the dog?
Customer: He's had shots this year. Normally a happy, very mobile pet. He is still barking like normal (when he can't sleep in my bed and knows I'm around).

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.

How long has he had these signs?

What does the vomit and diarrhea look like?

Can he keep water down?

Are his gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?

If you press on his belly, any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing?

I will ask my husband these questions as I was out of town when it all occurred. I will have to follow up again later this afternoon if that's ok.Tina J.
